Someone has suggested mediation

You didn’t set this up, so you may be wondering whether it will be fair to you. That’s a fair question, and this page answers it.

A first call commits you to nothing

It’s a free 20-minute phone call with one of the mediators, just you. The other person isn’t on the call, nothing gets decided, and you can stop at any point. If you’d rather not go further afterwards, that’s the end of it.

How we keep it fair

We don’t give either of you advice, and we don’t decide anything. We ask you both the same questions and give you both the same time. What you tell us on your own stays with us unless you say we can share it, apart from the few safety limits we explain at the start.

Your own meeting

Before any joint session, you’d meet a mediator on your own. It’s your time to say what matters to you and ask anything you like.

What mediation is

It’s a guided conversation with a mediator who is on nobody’s side. You both get to speak, and you both get to listen.

Questions you might have

We can answer how it all works, and suggest when getting advice might help.

Book your own first call

You choose the time. The call is just you and one of us.
